Kyle's Bikes is truly a lifelong dream come true for Kyle Robinson and his wife RaeAnn. As Ankeny residents for over 18 years, they chose the SW side of town because of the proximity to the growing network of bike and pedestrian trails. For over 30 years Kyle Robinson has been a staple in the central Iowa cycling community. He enjoys wrenching, racing, commuting and riding, on bikes. He also supports advocacy groups who work to improve cycling in the area. The store has a home-like atmosphere where everyone is committed to making your cycling experience a great one. Kyle's has a complete service center, where you can pull up a stool and watch repairs of all kinds; bike builds, tune ups, wheel truing, part installations, and even chat with the guys as they wrench. Specialized and Jamis are Kyle's primary brands of bicycles. Kyle himself has undergone extensive training to become a certified Body Geometry Fit specialist, which adds a scientific approach to his years of experience to find a position for everyone that maximizes power and comfort.

Kyle's Bikes has two full time employees, Chuck and Mark, who are accomplished cyclists and extremely knowledgeable. The entire staff would like to invite all riders for a ride on Tuesdays at 5:30pm, as we explore the trails and streets of Ankeny. Having the shop become a hub for commuters on their way to downtown and beyond is something Kyle would like to see happen. According to Kyle, “With rising gas prices, we have the alternative! Bicycle commuting saves gas, saves money, improves fitness, aids in weight loss, and is a great way to wind down after a stressful day.”
